about us
Driftwood was born from a hurricane
After Hurricane Irma ravaged the Keys in 2017, owner Tony Piscetello saw the vision for what was then a struggling business while he worked for a food service distributor.
Taking ownership of Driftwood less than a year later with his wife, he brought his recipes and pizza know-how from Connecticut, overhauling the menu, dough recipe, sauce, topping quality and more to fit his vision and serve Marathon. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the eatery served as a trend-setting leader for takeout options.
We teamed up and rode the wave,” Piscetello said. “We always had the goal in mind that we were going to reinvest more in the community, back it up and follow through with a good product to take care of people.
Today, Driftwood Pizza owns its own building, and their well-recognized boxes are a staple at community events, from postgame meals for youth sports to teacher appreciation lunches and birthday parties.
